Jetina’s Guaranteed PEN Boss Gear

You can obtain guaranteed PEN boss gear from Jetina <Old Moon Guild Manager>. She can be found in almost every major city throughout the world of Black Desert. There are two types of guarantee PEN systems:

• Guaranteed PEN Boss Gear (Helmet, Armor, Gloves, Boots, Main Hand, Sub-weapon and Awakening Weapon)
• Guaranteed PEN Boss Accessory (Crescent Ring, Narc Ear Accessory, Tungrad Earring)

This guide will focus on the PEN Boss Gear only. You can check out the Guaranteed PEN Accessory guide here.

Where to start?

To start the quest to obtain PEN gear, you need to be level 60+. You will need to speak with the Black Spirit to begin the questline.

Jetina’s Locations

Jetina can be found in most major cities. The cities that she can be found in are:

• Velia
• Heidel
• Altinova
• Valencia
• Grána
• Duvencrune

You can use the search function in-game to set an auto-path to Jetina’s location.

Reform Gear

You would need to exchange either PEN Tuvala gear or TET boss gear in order to receive the TET Reform Boss gear. The reform gear can be enhanced with reform stones from Reform Level 1 to Reform Level 5. Once you reach Reform Level 5, you can exchange the TET reform gear for PEN boss gear.

Upgrading Reform Gear

To upgrade the reform gear, you need various materials. One of those materials, Concentrated Boss Crystal, you can obtain through a weekly quest, World Bosses, Dark Rift Bosses and Summon Boss Scrolls. Other materials include, Magical Shards, Memory Fragments, Concentrated Black Stones, Concentrated Boss Auras, Rough Opals, Polished Opals, Brilliant Opals, Moonlight Opals, Oquilla Piece of the Old Moon crystals and Oquilla Crystal.

Other than the Concentrated Boss Crystals, Concentrated Boss Auras and the Oquilla Crystal, all the other materials can be bought on the Central Market. The Concentrated Boss Auras you get from heating Boss Armor of the same same type you are upgrading. The Oquilla Crystal you receive from exchanging Oquilla Piece of the Old Moon which you purchase from the Old Moon Manager. All these materials are needed to create the reform stones needed to upgrade the boss gear.

Concentrated Boss Crystals

To obtain Concentrated Boss Crystals you can do the weekly quests, Rift Bosses, World Bosses, Field Bosses, exchanging Latent Auras and Summoning Scrolls. Latent Auras drop from Rift Bosses, Field Bosses and World Bosses. You can exchange 2 Latent Auras to complete the [Weekly] Imperfect Beings quests.

Please note that Offin Tett’s drop is called ‘Offin Tett’s Light Fragment’. You will exchange 2 of these to complete the [Weekly] Imperfect Beings: Offin Tett.

Magical Shards

Magical Shards can be obtained from event rewards, attendance rewards, quests, Imperial Alchemy, melting down Black Magic Crystals (yellow-grade) and melting down Sealed Black Magic Crystals. You can acquire Black Magic Crystals from loot drops through the world of Black Desert.

Concentrated Boss Auras

To obtain the Concentrated Boss Auras, you will need to perform simple alchemy on boss gear. You need 30 Concentrated Boss Auras for Reform Stone Level 5. I recommend buying a TRI (III) piece off the Central Market because it will give you the 30 Concentrated Boss Auras that you will need to create the Reform Stone Level 5. Make sure you buy the gear piece similar to the reform gear you are upgrading.

For example, if you are upgrading TET Reform Dim Tree Spirit Armor, you will need to purchase TRI (III) Dim Tree Spirit Armor from the Central Market to extract the Concentrated Boss Auras using simple alchemy. Same goes for the TET Reform Weapons.

Oquilla Crystal

There are two types of Oquilla Crystals, Earth and Sky. Depending on what type of gear you are upgrading will determine what crystal you need to get. The Oquilla Earth Crystal is used for reform defense gear and Oquilla Sky Crystal is used for reform weapons.

The only way to get the Oquilla Crystal is by purchasing Oquilla Piece of Old Moon from the Old Moon Manager. The Old Moon Manager is in all major cities.
