Season overview
A Season Server is a server where a player can create a Season Character on and benefit from Season rewards and experience buffs. There are 4 PvE only Season Servers and 1 PvP only Season server during the Season. Season servers give additional leveling rewards that can be obtained through the Challenge Window (‘Y’), rewards from the Season Pass challenges and character growth benefits that are not available on normal servers. Previously, a Season typically lasted two months. As of September 20th, 2023, seasons will last until the player manually graduates. Brand new players who create their first character during an active Season, that character will be labeled as a Season Character and will be defaulted in the Season1 (Novice Only) server.
Throughout the year, Pearl Abyss will issue Season tickets that are used for creating Season characters. You can only have a maximum capacity of 5 Season tickets at a time. Players will be able to repurchase Season Passes per Season character. You can only create one Season character at a time.
Forever Season
The Forever Season started on September 20th, 2023 and will forever be ongoing or until the player manually graduates. You can now progress your Season characters at the desired pace you choose and graduate at anytime you want. Please note, when graduating your Season Characters, you can only keep one set of Tuvala gear and any duplicate pieces will be removed from your inventory and storages. Duplicate Tuvala gear of the highest enhancement level will be kept. Also, all Time-filled Black Stones will be removed from player inventory and storage at the end of the Season.
Season Pass
During the Season, Season players can extend the functionality of the Season Pass to gain more rewards by purchasing a Black Spirit Pass. The Black Spirit Pass costs 3,000 pearls and when consumed, it will activate the second column of rewards on the Season Pass challenges. Only a Season Character can purchase the Black Spirit Pass and only Season Characters can participate in Season challenges. You can only claim Black Spirit Pass rewards during the Season. Any unclaimed Black Spirit rewards will be deleted once the Season ends. When the Black Spirit Pass is activated, you cannot get a refund.
What are Season Servers?
Season Servers are special servers that grant special benefits. Regular Season Servers are Season2 – Season4.
- From Lv. 50, additional Combat EXP +100% and Skill EXP +20% buffs are applied.
- You can acquire “Time-filled Black Stone” by defeating monsters in Valencia, Kamasylvia, Drieghan, and O’dyllita and exchange these stones for character-appropriate Season-exclusive “Tuvala” gear with blacksmiths of major cities.
- Tuvala gear can be enhanced with Time-filled Black Stones and has a success rate higher than normal gear enhancement.
- You cannot use Caphras Enhancement or Alchemy Stones (Khan’s Hear, Vell’s Heart).
- Only Season Characters can enter Season Servers, and only 1 Season Character is allowed per Family.
- Once a Season ends, the Season Character will no longer be able to enter the Season Server.
- World Bosses and Field Bosses appear in similar fashion as normal servers, and share HP as well.
New Adventurer Season Server
The New Adventurer Season Server is for brand new players. It is labeled as Season1 (Novice Only).
- The New Adventurer Season Server is for adventurers with a total character level of 150 or below.
Season Arsha Server
During a Season, there will be 1 Season (PVP) server. This is similiar to the Arsha Server except you get Season benefits.
- PvP between characters (including forced PvP) will be free from all penalties. However, if a character with negative Karma enters the PvP server, the usual non-Karma penalties will still be in effect.
- Initiating an attack to kill another player character will NOT lower one’s Karma.
- As with the ordinary servers, PvP is only activated from Lv. 50.
- Field and World bosses will not appear.
- Item drop rate will be 50% higher when defeating monsters.
Season gear
Season Characters can only equip Season gear that is obtained through the main quest line, Asula accessories, Naru gear and Tuvala gear. Season Characters are not able to equip regular gear. However, you can still hold regular gear in your inventory.
Naru gear
Naru gear is obtained via quest rewards, loot drops and regional monster zone rewards in Serendia and Calpheon. Naru gear is the easiest gear to enhance compared to Tuvala gear. Season Characters will need to enhance Naru gear to PEN (V), except for the accessories, in order to exchange the Naru gear for PRI (I) Tuvala gear. Naru accessories can be enhanced to TRI (III) but it’s not recommended to consume your time with the accessories as they provide very little benefit in each enhancement level. Naru accessories cannot be exchanged for Tuvala.
You also can exchange Beginner Black Stones for Naru gear when visiting Fuhgar. Fuhgar is located in all major cities by the Stable Keeper. The exchange rate for Naru gear:
Beginner Black Stones | Naru gear |
---|---|
Beginner Black Stone x1 | Naru Armor x1 |
Beginner Black Stone x5 | Naru Accessory x1 |
Beginner Black Stone x1 | Naru Main Weapon Box x1 |
Beginner Black Stone x1 | Naru Sub-weapon Box x1 |
Beginner Black Stone x5 | Naru Accessory x1 |
Enhancing Naru gear
To exchange Naru gear, you will need Beginner Black Stones. Beginner Black Stones are used to enhance Naru armor and weapon pieces. You can obtain Beginner Black Stones via the main quest line and Leveling Aid Boxes that you receive through the Challenge Window (‘Y’) when hitting specific levels on your Season Character. You can also heat regular Black Stones to turn them in to Beginner Black Stones by using the Processing window (‘L’). It is highly not recommended to heat regular Black Stones for Beginner Black Stones as you will receive enough Beginner Black Stones through the main quest line and leveling aid boxes.
Processing (‘L’) > Heating | Item Obtained |

![]() | ![]() |
![]() ![]() | ![]() |
![]() ![]() | ![]() |
If you fail enhancing Naru gear, it decreases the durability by -2 and de-levels the enhancement level by 1 if enhancement level is PRI and above. You can safely enhance Naru gear using Cron Stones as it takes 1-3 Cron Stones depending on the enhancement level.
Please note, it is not recommended to use Cron Stones on Naru gear as you can just very easily spam click enhancement until you hit PEN. Cron Stones should only be used on endgame boss gear, Blackstar gear, Fallen God gear, Godr-Ayed gear and endgame accessories. If you are brand new and this is your first character, you can use Cron Stones on Tuvala gear.
Tuvala gear
Tuvala gear is mid-tier gear and is a great starting point to progress your character in some midgame regions. Tuvala gear is easier to enhance than normal gear, allowing players to significantly catch up in progression to some veteran casual players. However, Season servers are meant as a catch-up mechanism for new players, you will still need to heavily grind to obtain endgame gear beyond Tuvala.
Tuvala gear can be obtained by exchanging PEN Naru gear. You will receive PRI Tuvala gear after the exchange. In some regional monster zones in Valencia, you can obtain DUO Tuvala Accessories as a completion reward.
You can obtain Tuvala gear by exchanging Time-filled Black Stones at a Blacksmith. Exchanging Time-filled Black Stones for Tuvala gear is not required to restore max durability for your gear. You can just use the Time-filled Black Stones to restore max durability. You can also exchange Time-filled Black Stones to obtain Tuvala accessories. It’s recommended only to use the Time-filled Black Stones to restore max durability and to purchase extra accessories to use for enhancing.

Enhancing Tuvala gear
Tuvala gear enhancement is easier than normal gear enhancement. To enhance Tuvala gear, you will need Time-filled Black Stones. Time-filled Black Stones drop from monsters in Valencia, Kamasylvia, Dreighan and Sycraia Underwater Ruins. You can also obtain them through regional monster zone quests in Valencia, Kamasylvia and Dreighan, as well as, in leveling aid boxes via the Challenge Window (‘Y’) when reaching specific levels on your Season Character.
Time-filled Black Stones should only be used to enhance the PRI Tuvala gear (Armor, Gloves, Shoes, Helmet) you obtained through exchanging the PEN Naru. Enhancing PRI Tuvala to TRI is a 100% enhancement success. After you TRI all your Tuvala gear, you can continue to enhance the pieces to TET without using any Advice of Valks since going from TRI to TET will not downgrade enhancement level if you fail enhancement. Once you successfully TET your gear, you can use Advice of Valks +60 that is rewarded to you from Fughar’s enhancement level 2 quests to attempt PEN enhancements.
When enhancing Tuvala accessories, you will want to enhance to TRI before using your failstacks. Once you reach TRI enhancement, use a +10 Failstack or Advice of Valks +10 to enhance TRI to TET. From TET to PEN, you will want to use a +20 Failstack or Advice of Valks +20.

Rift’s Echo
Rift’s Echo is a Boss Summon Scroll. You will need to be at least level 57 and in a party of five. There are 3 boss spawns with the last boss being either Kavali or Ancient Puturum. There is a rare chance a treasure chest spawn will occur after the first boss is killed. The bosses drop enhancement materials as loot that you can use to upgrade Tuvala gear. Bosses will also have a chance to drop Tuvala accessories up to DUO enhancement level.
Rift’s Echo can be obtained a couple of ways. The first one, through weekly elimination quests. The second, looting Rift fragments off mobs while playing on a Season server. The Rift Fragments can be combined to create a Rift Echo. You need to place five Rift Fragments in a cross pattern to successfully combine them.

Rift’s Fragment
Afuaru
Afuaru is a graverobber and is a rare spawn in various monster zones. If you kill him before he flees the zone, he will drop loot. To slow his ability to flee, you must use stun or knockdown abilities when you see a message across your screen that he is fleeing.
On Season Servers, Afuaru will drop Tuvalu enhancement items. Those items are Timed-filled Black Stones, Boiling Tides Black Stone and Frozen Tides Black Stone. The Frozen Tides Black Stone is an item that will give you 100% enhancement success rate when upgrading a Tuvala TET armor piece to PEN. It only works on Tuvala armor and Tuvala weapons, not accessories. The Boiling Tides Black Stone is an item that will give you a 100% enhancement success rate when upgrading a Tuvala TET accessory to PEN.

Simplified Main Quest
The Simplified quest is an option you can accept from Alustin in Velia after following the main story questline up to Velia. This option is meant for veteran players. If you are a brand new player, you will not be able to do the Simplified questline because you would need to have completed the Mediah Questline before and also completed the “[Pet] Bareed’s Junaid” quest from Bareed in Mediah.
When reaching Velia in the main story questline, you will be able to choose ‘[Special Growth] Birth of a Presigious Family’ from Alustin. Then, go to Fughar to continue the Simplified questline. The Simplified questline will also complete your season pass.
Fughar’s Memorandum Quests
The Memorandum quests give numerous rewards including Naru gear, Skill points, Contribution points, Beginner Black Stones and Secret Book of the Misty Breeze. The quests are accepted either from Fughar or the Black Spirit depending on what level you reach.

Season Quests
There are quite a few Season quests that Season Characters can receive. The quests are Regional Monster Zone quests, Season Weekly quests, Season Black Spirit Quests, and Fughar’s Enhancements and Season quests.
Fughar can be found in every major city and town located near the Stable Keeper. When leveling your Tuvala gear, you want to use the Advice of Valks that you receive as a reward from Fughar’s Enhancement quests. This was mentioned in the ‘Enhancing Tuvala gear’ segment above. There are a total of 14 Enhancement quests from Fughar.

Boss Gear Exchange Coupon
When the season ends, you will be able to convert one piece of Tuvala (armor or weapon) to Boss gear with the [Season] Boss Gear Exchange Coupon that you get from the Season Rewards Box. The level of enhancement on the Tuvala piece that will be converted over to Boss gear will drop one level. For example, if you exchange a PEN: Tuvala piece for a Boss piece, you will receive a TET level of that Boss gear.
You must have graduated and converted your Tuvala gear using the Tuvala Conversion Stones before exchanging. Any crystals in the gear must be removed by going to Black Spirit > Transfusion > RMB the crystal. Please note, right clicking the crystal without using an Crystal Extraction Tool or Black Spirit Essence will destroy the crystal permanently.
After prepping for the Tuvala to Boss exchange, visit Fughar. Accept the quest for the piece of gear you would like to exchange. Once you are finished accepting the quest, visit Tranan Underfoe (the blacksmith in Velia) and use the “Chat” option. He will exchange your gear for you.
